Hey! Try textmarks.com. The adds in the free version are probably not appropriate but you could buy one of the cheap subscriptions that will take away the adds. I am trying the free version right now and some of my teachers have subscribed just so we can try it out and see what it would be like. My teachers love me sending them little reminders every now and then on their cell phones. It is "anonymous" so people can't get your cell phone number or text you back. It is web-based:):):) Nice to meet you via twitter!!!

Great post, Skip!

The County doesn't "officially" use twitter either, but I try to announce events and info as they cross my desk. It's a great way to spread the word quickly, and I find that the twitter folks are good about passing word along to the non-tweeps.

Nice post! I hope more schools begin to use/ unblock twitter as well. It is an effective tool to share information from anywhere to anywhere.

By the way- jealous of the day off.
